Privacy Policy for Friendly Wagers
Effective date: October 27, 2026
Friendly Wagers is provided by ACC Apps ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes the information used by the Friendly Wagers website and Android app, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we use
When you create or use an account, we process your email address, display name, and Firebase user ID. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in credentials; Friendly Wagers does not receive or store your account password.
To operate groups and bets, we store group names, invite codes, membership identifiers, selected leagues, fake-coin wallet balances, bet selections and odds, event details, and timestamps for account, group, bet, and settlement activity. Coins have no cash value and the app does not collect payment-card or bank-account information.
If you contact us, we use the information in your message and reply address to respond to your request.
How information is used
- Authenticate accounts and keep users signed in.
- Create and operate groups, wallets, bets, leaderboards, cancellations, and settlements.
- Show sports odds and event results and settle eligible bets.
- Protect the service, diagnose errors, and respond to support or privacy requests.
Groups and visibility
Group data is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore. Under the current service configuration, signed-in users can read basic group information, including group names, invite codes, membership identifiers, and selected leagues. Group members can read their group's wallets and bet activity. App administrators can access group wallet and bet records to perform manual settlement and support operations.
Service providers
- Google Firebase provides authentication, database, and website hosting. Firebase may process account, device, connection, and service-use information to provide and secure those services. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics for Firebase is included in the Android build and may collect app-use, device, and app-instance information through its default SDK behavior. See Firebase Analytics documentation and Google's privacy policy.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications when you allow them in Android settings. Firebase may process an app-instance registration token and device delivery information to route messages. You can disable notifications at any time in Android settings.
- Odds-API.io supplies sports odds and event results. Our server-side scheduled process sends event and league identifiers and bookmaker requests to retrieve this information. It does not send your account email or bet history to Odds-API.io. See Odds-API.io.
- Google AdMob and Google AdSense may serve ads when advertising is enabled. These services may use cookies, advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interactions for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, or personalization, depending on your settings, location, and consent. See Google advertising privacy.
- GitHub Actions runs scheduled odds and settlement scripts using credentials stored as repository secrets. The scripts access the data needed to update odds and settle pending bets.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy disclosures. We do not sell your account email address.
Analytics and advertising choices
On Android, Google Analytics for Firebase can automatically collect app-instance identifiers and app/device usage information. Android advertising identifiers may also be available to Google advertising services, subject to Android settings and applicable consent.
Push notifications are optional. Friendly Wagers asks for Android notification permission only when you choose to enable notifications in the app. You can revoke permission in Android settings.
On Android, the app requests consent information through Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads and exposes privacy options when required. Web advertising may use cookies or similar technologies when enabled. You can control advertising personalization through the settings offered by Google and your device or browser.
Retention and deletion
Account and group information is retained while it is needed to operate the service. Bet and wallet records remain associated with their group while that group exists. A group owner can delete a group, which removes its wallets and bets. Some technical records may be retained by service providers according to their own retention practices.
You can request account deletion from the app's account deletion form. After you confirm and your sign-in is recent, the app deletes your Firebase Authentication account and profile, your bets and wallet records, and your membership in each group. If you own a group with other members, ownership transfers to the first remaining member and the group stays active. A group with no other members is deleted with its bets and wallets. If you cannot sign in to submit the form, contact accappdev@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account.
Children
Friendly Wagers is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The app does not currently verify a user's age at signup. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
Security
We use Firebase security rules and service-provider safeguards to protect information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. We will post an updated version at this address and revise the effective date.
